The audience thought a goal was coming when Winfried Mouratidis got free with Benny Bollwächter in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute, Emiliano Spickenreither reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benny Bollwächter. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Achim Neuschwander in the 23rd minute of play forced Vorwerk Resse's goalkeeper Benny Bollwächter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benny Bollwächter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Spickenreither in the 24th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Emiliano Spickenreither got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Emiliano Spickenreither had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benny Bollwächter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Achim Neuschwander in the 47th minute. Bodo Seibel was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vorwerk Resse! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luigi Sellmer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Spickenreither in the 53rd minute of play forced Vorwerk Resse's goalkeeper Benny Bollwächter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benny Bollwächter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Spickenreither, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Achim Neuschwander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bannemin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Benny Bollwächter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Wöhrl, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Vorwerk Resse's goal looked a bit too open when Winfried Mouratidis came free, but Benny Bollwächter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emiliano Spickenreither received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Benny Bollwächter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute Winfried Mouratidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benny Bollwächter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benny Bollwächter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Spickenreither in the 87th minute of play. Emiliano Spickenreither received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Benny Bollwächter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emiliano Spickenreither in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benny Bollwächter saved Vorwerk Resse from getting behind. In the 96th minute, Oskar Caberta y Diaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Adrian Wöhrl came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Bannemin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Wöhrl couldn't finish the play. Bannemin's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
