An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustav Schabbel in the 13th minute of play forced SV Eilendorf's goalkeeper Fidelio Baader to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Derek Mrozik got free with Fidelio Baader in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leo Hildebrandt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niklaus Schubert having to interfere. With a little luck, SV Eilendorf's Fidelio Baader got control of the ball when Derek Mrozik tried to sneak it across the goal line. Niklaus Schubert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Hildebrandt, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute of the game, Derek Mrozik landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moritz Kreis during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute, one of SV Eilendorf:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SV Eilendorf. Fidelio Baader had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Arnold Bleile's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Fidelio Baader made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustav Schabbel in the 36th minute of play. Gustav Schabbel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oliver Dillschneider was the one to do the kick off. Berge United's Niklaus Schubert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Dillschneider in the 52nd minute of play. In the 56th match minute, SV Eilendorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horst Pott to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by SV Eilendorf's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arnold Bleile was slow to take the kick. During this time Berge United's players had a chance to rest. In the 58th match minute, Berge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Michael Bechstein to maneuver through the defense. Fidelio Baader made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustav Schabbel in the 60th minute of play. Dierk Demelbauer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidelio Baader having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Horst Pott hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gustav Schabbel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. If Gustav Schabbel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle went the supporters of SV Eilendorf were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Berge United side.
