Zoran Gross tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pütterhöfe's goalkeeper Zoran Gross, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zoran Gross came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Paretz's Ernst Feld. But to his dismay, Ernst Feld quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 26th minute of the match, Georg Warschkow tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zoran Gross saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 28 played minutes Paretz got a freekick which was hit by Wieland Specht. In the 33rd minute Jens Kruppke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingo Urban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jens Kruppke was the one to do the kick off. Thorsten Djir hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Joseph Klank managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pütterhöfe's supporters rose to their feet, but Joseph Klank was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingo Urban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Pütterhöfe's Ingo Urban threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jens Kruppke, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Zoran Gross showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernst Feld in the 75th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Paretz's goal looked a bit too open when Jens Kruppke came free, but Ingo Urban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Wieland Specht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Ernst Feld's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zoran Gross was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Ernst Feld recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Ernst Feld got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
