Giuseppe Boschewskis short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Wilhelm Schüßler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Högl's Wilhelm Schüßler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uri Erler in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Högl's Hubert Trochowski got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 33rd minute, Egon Ulrich made a precise shot to the right of Quirin Bruhn. fc gabar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. A collision led to fc gabar getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Reinhard Rösel hit a great ball. In the 39th minute of the match Robert Ollert sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Quirin Bruhn skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Egon Ulrich in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Quirin Bruhn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reinhard Rösel hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Giuseppe Boschewski kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Högl's Egon Ulrich got a free kick in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Egon Ulrich made a kick off. A collision led to Högl getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Robert Ollert hit a great ball. Egon Ulrich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charly Geyer in the 63rd minute of play forced Högl's goalkeeper Wilhelm Schüßler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Högl's goal looked a bit too open when Charly Geyer came free, but Wilhelm Schüßler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute of the match, Egon Ulrich got a very nice opportunity to score, but Quirin Bruhn was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 77th minute Lothar Seybold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quirin Bruhn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egon Ulrich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quirin Bruhn having to interfere. Quirin Bruhn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lothar Seybold in the 80th minute of play. Quirin Bruhn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Egon Ulrich in the 85th minute. Lothar Seybold scored 1-4 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Quirin Bruhn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Quirin Bruhn came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Högl's Egon Ulrich. But to his dismay, Egon Ulrich quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. 97 minutes into the match, Högl's Lothar Seybold sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Quirin Bruhn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match was over Högl could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than fc gabar throughout the match.
