An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Rahm in the 15th minute of play forced Hochstadt FSV's goalkeeper Caspar Berg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Engelbert Borchert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy Groneberg having to interfere. Guy Groneberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lovis Rampp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
