Wigalf Jüdt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig Popitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 13th minute Christoph Kortmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wigalf Jüdt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Paul Eichenauer in the 14th minute of play forced Angelsbruck's goalkeeper Wigalf Jüdt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Markus Paul Eichenauer hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the game, ATHLETIC AUGSBURG's Christoph Kortmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wigalf Jüdt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 26th minute, Christoph Kortmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wigalf Jüdt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a rather tough play, Angelsbruck's Gernot Scharff got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 37 minutes into the match, Stig Popitz notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Angelsbruck's Wigalf Jüdt. Wigalf Jüdt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 39th match minute, Angelsbruck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Bendl to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute Stig Popitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wigalf Jüdt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Jochen Matheis made the kick off in the second half. Christoph Kortmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Wigalf Jüdt made a huge save. Mark Butterweck's late challenge caught a ATHLETIC AUGSBURG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mark Butterweck helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd minute, Mark Butterweck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Rodolfo Bendl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jochen Matheis in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joachim Moholt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 62 minutes into the game, Stig Popitz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wigalf Jüdt. Stig Popitz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. ATHLETIC AUGSBURG's Alexander Fabisch got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wigalf Jüdt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christoph Kortmann in the 66th minute. With a little luck, Angelsbruck's Wigalf Jüdt got control of the ball when Christoph Kortmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Rodolfo Bendl came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Angelsbruck fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Bendl couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the ATHLETIC AUGSBURG defense, Jochen Matheis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joachim Moholt. The ATHLETIC AUGSBURG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joachim Moholt should have stopped the shot. Wigalf Jüdt was a little too slow when Stig Popitz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 1-5. After 93 minutes, Markus Paul Eichenauer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ATHLETIC AUGSBURG and the Angelsbruck players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th match minute, Angelsbruck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregor Wefing to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ATHLETIC AUGSBURG had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
