Jochen Matheis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Scherzer having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Rappo Sawatzki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wigalf Jüdt came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Club Giresun's Jann Bühler. But to his dismay, Jann Bühler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Jochen Matheis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gunter Flaht's late challenge caught a Sport Club Giresun's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gunter Flaht helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Angelsbruck getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Gunter Flaht hit a great ball. Jann Bühler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Wigalf Jüdt made a huge save. Wigalf Jüdt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sepp Drexel in the 23rd minute of the match. Wigalf Jüdt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sepp Drexel in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute Sepp Drexel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wigalf Jüdt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Gunter Flaht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sport Club Giresun's Boppo Wolfstein shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 30th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Wigalf Jüdt but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Angelsbruck's Mark Butterweck got a free kick in the 31st minute. Angelsbruck's Wigalf Jüdt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Angelsbruck from getting a goal against them. Gernot Scharff hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After 39 minutes of play, Angelsbruck's Jochen Matheis made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albert Scherzer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jochen Matheis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Albert Scherzer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a rather tough play, Angelsbruck's Rappo Sawatzki got a free kick in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Angelsbruck getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Mark Butterweck hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Angelsbruck's goal looked a bit too open when Sepp Drexel came free, but Wigalf Jüdt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Club Giresun's zone, Gunter Flaht stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Scherzer came out of the goal and Gunter Flaht tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Sport Club Giresun booed when Angelsbruck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunter Flaht didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sport Club Giresun's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jochen Matheis 66 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. In the 71st minute, Sepp Drexel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute Jochen Matheis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Scherzer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jochen Matheis in the 76th minute of play forced Sport Club Giresun's goalkeeper Albert Scherzer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albert Scherzer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mark Butterweck in the 88th minute. After 89 minutes of play Angelsbruck's Gunter Flaht was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Gunter Flaht hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Angelsbruck's goal looked a bit too open when Sepp Drexel came free, but Wigalf Jüdt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Sport Club Giresun's goalkeeper Albert Scherzer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jochen Matheis. Rappo Sawatzki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Scherzer having to interfere. The Sport Club Giresun fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Angelsbruck were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
