Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hans Höhn kicked off to start the match. Dierk Prockl in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joachim Moholt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dierk Prockl made a great header on Leysiefen's corner, it was just that ATHLETIC AUGSBURG's Joachim Moholt managed to reach the ball for a save. Heiko Robinsohn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stig Popitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hans Höhn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Joachim Moholt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horatio Kraus charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horatio Kraus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Leysiefen booed when ATHLETIC AUGSBURG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horatio Kraus didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Leysiefen's Heiko Robinsohn got control of the ball when Alexander Fabisch tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67thth minute of the game Dierk Prockl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ATHLETIC AUGSBURG's Joachim Moholt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans Höhn in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joachim Moholt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st minute, Erkan Jonen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Heiko Robinsohn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexander Fabisch in the 75th minute. A collision led to ATHLETIC AUGSBURG getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Lazarus Stöckert hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Christoph Kortmann dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Heiko Robinsohn, 2-2. After 85 minutes of play, Leysiefen's Dierk Prockl made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joachim Moholt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jurek Drichel kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Leysiefen were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of ATHLETIC AUGSBURG for a fine match.
