Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mike Ballstein started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 7 minutes into the match, FC Wangen's Klaus-Dieter Werkmeister sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tobias Kärgel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donald Gaisenkersting didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Heiko Lusche went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of FC Wangen booed when Bank FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kim Gotschika didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcus Zabel struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Tobias Kärgel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Wangen. Carsten Cestonaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Donald Gaisenkersting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Heiko Lusche took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donald Gaisenkersting. Donald Gaisenkersting dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Marcus Zabel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Kärgel having to interfere. A collision led to Bank FSV getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Stuart Ehrreich hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Bank FSV's Stuart Ehrreich got a free kick in the 35th minute. Tobias Kärgel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Ballstein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heiko Lusche in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donald Gaisenkersting prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carsten Cestonaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heiko Lusche hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes FC Wangen got a freekick which was hit by Mike Ballstein. Carsten Cestonaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donald Gaisenkersting having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Heiko Lusche was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heiko Lusche in the 52nd minute of play forced FC Wangen's goalkeeper Donald Gaisenkersting to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armand Oberlercher charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armand Oberlercher the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Wangen getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Armand Oberlercher hit a great ball. If Heiko Lusche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Donald Gaisenkersting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heiko Lusche in the 66th minute of the match. Carsten Cestonaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, FC Wangen's goal looked a bit too open when Carsten Cestonaro came free, but Donald Gaisenkersting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th match minute, Bank FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Preuss to maneuver through the defense. After 71 played minutes, FC Wangen's Arko Fiegler shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tobias Kärgel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Wangen reached it. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Heiko Lusche put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Donald Gaisenkersting. Stuart Ehrreich hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Tobias Kärgel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mike Ballstein in the 80th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Carsten Cestonaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donald Gaisenkersting was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. If Carsten Cestonaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Heiko Lusche came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Bank FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heiko Lusche couldn't finish the play. Carsten Cestonaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
