Claus Eggerking helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Midori fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! In the 16th minute there was a penalty for Bodelschwingh FSV. Gilles Wiese stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ilja Kalitta. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Bodelschwingh FSV's Benni Bährmann got a free kick in the 24th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sascha Berz in the 25th managed to get into a good position. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Ludger Gillardon managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Midori's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludger Gillardon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug was a little too slow when Helmut Döring got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sascha Berz to strike the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Sascha Berz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug. Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernhard Köddermann in the 79th minute of the match. Ilja Kalitta made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Benni Bährmann sent off a good shot on target. After 83 played minutes FC Midori got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Kroos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nico Abel in the 87th minute of play forced Bodelschwingh FSV's goalkeeper Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, FC Midori's Sascha Berz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Primus Kappel's late challenge caught a FC Midori's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herbert Kroos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 98th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wolf-Rüdiger Pflug. Bodelschwingh FSV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. FC Midori were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
