Dragan Kerth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederico Wuttke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dieter Wosnitza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragan Kerth having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Keilbach in the 11th minute of play forced Schümersmühle's goalkeeper Elia Klimke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dragan Kerth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gisbert Berlich, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Dragan Kerth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Menger in the 15th minute of the match. Elia Klimke was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Monty Keilbach showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 32 minute of play. In the 37th minute, Eifel FC's Matthias Schmidt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elia Klimke. Elia Klimke yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gisbert Berlich in the 41st minute of play forced Eifel FC's goalkeeper Dragan Kerth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Adam Menger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dragan Kerth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Monty Keilbach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Monty Keilbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adam Menger to make the kick off. Delron Dückert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Dragan Kerth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Schümersmühle's Adam Menger dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. The long shot by Frederico Wuttke in the 71st minute really tested Dragan Kerth's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Gisbert Berlich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Schümersmühle's Gisbert Berlich slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dragan Kerth. That made the score 3-3 after 75 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dieter Wosnitza in the 78th minute of play forced Eifel FC's goalkeeper Dragan Kerth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raffael Pitten hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Raffael Pitten did an outstanding performance 95 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 4-3 to the right of an irritated Elia Klimke in the goal. Schümersmühle's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
