Dragan Kerth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percy Schmalacker in the 25th minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Monty Keilbach made a kick off. Dragan Kerth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josef Rankel in the 52nd minute of the match. Eifel FC's Sönke Seppmann managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Armand Vitus in the 54 minute of the game. Paul Pickart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Dragan Kerth made a huge save. Akira Hölzgen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Schmidt in the 59th minute of play. Akira Hölzgen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Keilbach, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 83 minutes of play, Eifel FC's Norbert Maurer made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Akira Hölzgen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, 1. FC Kleve's Armand Vitus got a free kick in the 87th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Josef Rankel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1. FC Kleve's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eifel FC the free kick. Akira Hölzgen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Keilbach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Eifel FC were the better team. Eifel FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
