Samuel Scheck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rüdiger Maul, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Arend Bollmann kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Rüdiger Maul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Erwin Sander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuel Scheck was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Erwin Sander might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuel Scheck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erwin Sander ran back to his position shaking his head. Rüdiger Maul scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Scheck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arend Bollmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Johan Gleißberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Erwin Sander sped through FC SCHALKE 04's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Samuel Scheck. Dittlofrod's Erwin Sander got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in FC SCHALKE 04's zone, Erwin Sander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Scheck came out of the goal and Erwin Sander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Erwin Sander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC SCHALKE 04's Samuel Scheck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save FC SCHALKE 04 from getting a goal against them. Philip Rathje hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Rüdiger Maul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC SCHALKE 04's zone, Rüdiger Maul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Scheck came out of the goal and Rüdiger Maul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Dittlofrod left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC SCHALKE 04.
