Tonio Kamps hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 8 minutes, Arp Schürhoff mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the POLONIA Proskau and the Ruhrpottkings players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to POLONIA Proskau getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Arp Schürhoff hit a great ball. Anselm Banken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Felich, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute, Arne Stripf ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anselm Banken was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 18 minutes, Jacob Felich managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruhrpottkings's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacob Felich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruhrpottkings's Jacob Felich got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute Jacob Felich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselm Banken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacob Felich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th match minute, Ruhrpottkings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Predrag Schwarzfischer to maneuver through the defense. Anselm Banken stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacob Felich's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute, Andi Dowe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The POLONIA Proskau players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ruhrpottkings were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arp Schürhoff to strike the kick off in the second half. Jacob Felich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Anselm Banken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 played minutes POLONIA Proskau got a freekick which was hit by Henning Seybold. Lion Donath kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Paulus Rusche charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulus Rusche the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 78 played minutes POLONIA Proskau got a freekick which was hit by Paulus Rusche. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind POLONIA Proskau's goalkeeper Anselm Banken, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute of the match, Lion Donath tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Anselm Banken saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Andi Dowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jacob Felich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Anselm Banken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Heimko Braun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. POLONIA Proskau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ruhrpottkings the free kick. 92 minutes into the game, one of POLONIA Proskau:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Anselm Banken went to the wrong direction when Immanuel Bartkowiak was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Ruhrpottkings's Heinz-Gerd Wölfer shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 97th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Anselm Banken but with some difficulty. Andi Dowe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruhrpottkings's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
