Franz-Peter Schweer's late challenge caught a Käseburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franz-Peter Schweer helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ruhrpottkings's Franz-Peter Schweer got a free kick in the 4th minute. Arne Stripf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Ruhrpottkings's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Houdelet came free, but Wolf Seidl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Reinhard Heberer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gabriel Bolz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Felich in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute of the match, Reinhard Heberer got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wolf Seidl was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Ruhrpottkings getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Franz-Peter Schweer hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Houdelet in the 20th minute of play forced Ruhrpottkings's goalkeeper Wolf Seidl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Käseburg's zone, Jacob Felich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Bolz came out of the goal and Jacob Felich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, Käseburg's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Felich came free, but Gabriel Bolz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th play minute Reinhard Heberer came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Wolf Seidl. 1-0. 33 minutes into the match, Ruhrpottkings's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Houdelet came free, but Wolf Seidl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Houdelet in the 36th minute of play forced Ruhrpottkings's goalkeeper Wolf Seidl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacob Felich struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Gabriel Bolz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ruhrpottkings. 38 minutes into the game, Arne Stripf cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gabriel Bolz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Stripf in the 46th minute of play forced Käseburg's goalkeeper Gabriel Bolz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arne Stripf was the one to do the kick off. Jacob Felich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Bolz having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Käseburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hemmo Schulcz to maneuver through the defense. Käseburg's Gabriel Bolz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Stripf in the 72nd minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Käseburg's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Stripf came free, but Gabriel Bolz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arne Stripf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Bolz having to interfere. Jacob Felichs short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Gabriel Bolz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 83 played minutes Käseburg got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Blum. In the 84th minute of the match, Arne Stripf tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gabriel Bolz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jacob Felich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Gabriel Bolz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wolf Seidl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Houdelet in the 95th minute of play. Hemmo Schulcz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolf Seidl having to interfere. The Ruhrpottkings players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Käseburg from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
