The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Thomas Gruhn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 5 played minutes POLONIA Proskau got a freekick which was hit by Frederik Schulz. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arp Schürhoff in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toni Amsler saved Höfen An Der Enz from getting behind. Arp Schürhoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toni Amsler having to interfere. Andi Dowe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Toni Amsler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Thomas Gruhn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselm Banken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidor Drescher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arp Schürhoff blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toni Amsler having to make a save. After having played for 35 minutes, Isidor Drescher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Höfen An Der Enz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidor Drescher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isidor Drescher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselm Banken having to interfere. After 40 minutes, Peter Mund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the POLONIA Proskau and the Höfen An Der Enz players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th match minute, POLONIA Proskau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Mund to maneuver through the defense. Anselm Banken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josef Husser in the 42nd minute of the match. Isidor Drescher might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselm Banken. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isidor Drescher ran back to his position shaking his head. Anselm Banken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Gruhn in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 55 minutes of play, Höfen An Der Enz's Thomas Gruhn made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anselm Banken was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andi Dowe's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Toni Amsler skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 65 minutes into the match, POLONIA Proskau's Arp Schürhoff sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toni Amsler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, POLONIA Proskau's Heimko Braun got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute of the match Josef Husser sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anselm Banken skillfully saved the ball. After 77 minutes, Matthias Bergmann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Höfen An Der Enz and the POLONIA Proskau players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anselm Banken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Gruhn, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Höfen An Der Enz were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
