An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Butkus in the 27th minute of play forced FSV Harz Thale's goalkeeper Thorsten Becker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thorsten Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Butkus in the 29th minute of play. Thorsten Becker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Butkus in the 32nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rutger Balterschütz during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gernot Seisler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thorsten Becker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Butkus in the 36th minute of the match. The supporters of BFC Dynamo booed when FSV Harz Thale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sönke Grupe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thorsten Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauritz Seeger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hossam Hurst kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Anton Bier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thorsten Becker having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute, Axel Butkus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Sönke Grupe came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the FSV Harz Thale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sönke Grupe couldn't finish the play. Dragan Kömm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rutger Balterschütz kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 71st match minute, FSV Harz Thale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sönke Grupe to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to FSV Harz Thale getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Sebastian Brozulat hit a great ball. A collision led to BFC Dynamo getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. BFC Dynamo's Lukas Winternagel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karel Brockes in the 86th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Reinhard Kamin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thorsten Becker. FSV Harz Thale's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reinhard Kamin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 95th minute, Karel Brockes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lukas Winternagel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
