The supporters of Geisweid booed when Vfl-327 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jürg Jakob didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rando Burger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Winfried Kochert in the 9th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Pitt Hornung got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 14 in the game by Pitt Hornung from a close distance when the talented Rando Burger managed to make a qualified save. Geisweid's players were relieved. Winfried Kochert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pitt Hornung who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Rando Burger when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Vfl-327's Pitt Hornung sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rando Burger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Winfried Kochert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vfl-327's Pitt Hornung got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Pawel Westphal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Winfried Kochert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rando Burger having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Geisweid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edzard Grenzhäuser to maneuver through the defense. Vfl-327's Michail Ernstberger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boppo Holzmann in the 42nd minute of play. Thierry Wagner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rando Burger didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 48th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 56th minute, Winfried Kochert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rando Burger was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Winfried Kochert in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rando Burger saved Geisweid from getting behind. Vfl-327's Winfried Kochert got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Winfried Kochert struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Rando Burger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vfl-327. In the 73rd match minute, Vfl-327 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolf Potulski to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Geisweid getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Edzard Grenzhäuser hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Pitt Hornung managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vfl-327's supporters rose to their feet, but Pitt Hornung was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rando Burger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute Pitt Hornung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rando Burger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rando Burger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Winfried Kochert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pitt Hornung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
