Manchester of United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TB Richen the free kick. After 11 played minutes Manchester of United got a freekick which was hit by Konstantin Port. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Gentner in the 15th minute of play forced TB Richen's goalkeeper Boubacar Ofori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Robert Laukenmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils Bach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Laukenmann in the 19th minute of the match. Otmar Bamberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boubacar Ofori having to interfere. Boubacar Ofori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otmar Bamberg in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 26th match minute, TB Richen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Volker Labsch to maneuver through the defense. Corvin Kreissler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Nils Bach made a huge save. TB Richen's Boubacar Ofori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otmar Bamberg in the 32nd minute of play. Boubacar Ofori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klaudius Raubier, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Boubacar Ofori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Gentner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Otmar Bamberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nils Bach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Laukenmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 44th match minute, Manchester of United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otmar Bamberg to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robert Laukenmann was the one to do the kick off. Corvin Kreissler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Laukenmann in the 64th minute of play forced Manchester of United's goalkeeper Nils Bach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils Bach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Volker Labsch in the 65th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klaudius Raubier got free with Boubacar Ofori in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind TB Richen's goalkeeper Boubacar Ofori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 71 minutes into the game, Volker Labsch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TB Richen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester of United the free kick. Boubacar Ofori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otmar Bamberg in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Konstantin Port left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester of United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 82 minutes into the game, Konstantin Port recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Boubacar Ofori. Konstantin Port showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. When Ulrik Hackert fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester of United's protests and gave Ulrik Hackert a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Manchester of United getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. With an all-out effort, Manchester of United's Boubacar Ofori threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Otmar Bamberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Manchester of United's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
