Godwin Kloos started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, SC Preußen Münster's goal looked a bit too open when Godwin Kloos came free, but Ole Dirkes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Amedspor defense, Erwin Flamme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lars Scheel. The Amedspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lars Scheel should have stopped the shot. In the 13th minute, Erwin Flamme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lars Scheel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wim Gonder in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lars Scheel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute of the match, Godwin Kloos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ole Dirkes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Wim Gonder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Erwin Flamme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lars Scheel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Erwin Flamme succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Wim Gonder struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Lars Scheel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Preußen Münster. Boris Heilmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Amedspor's goalkeeper Lars Scheel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Amedspor's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Gonder came free, but Lars Scheel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Erwin Flamme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lars Scheel. Amedspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erwin Flamme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Wim Gonder scored 0-6 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lars Scheel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Amedspor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Preußen Münster were winning 0-6.

The wind increased when Wim Gonder made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, SC Preußen Münster's Wim Gonder nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lars Scheel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Erwin Flamme struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Lars Scheel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erwin Flamme got free with Lars Scheel in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erwin Flamme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Lars Scheel made a huge save. Lars Scheel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Gonder, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. With a little luck, Amedspor's Lars Scheel got control of the ball when Erwin Flamme tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amedspor's Lars Scheel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Gonder in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute Wim Gonder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Scheel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Preußen Münster's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amedspor the free kick. In the 88th match minute, SC Preußen Münster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Heilmann to maneuver through the defense. If Salvatore Hille had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Wim Gonder's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lars Scheel was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. SC Preußen Münster's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
