Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Berner in the 10th minute of play forced Düddingen's goalkeeper Istvan Møller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Richard Hoff left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Melusinental fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 19 minutes into the match, Düddingen's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Hoff came free, but Istvan Møller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Istvan Møller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Berner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Fidel Berner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Axel Stollenwerk fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Düddingen's protests and gave Axel Stollenwerk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Axel Stollenwerk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35thth minute of the game Richard Hoff who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Düddingen's Istvan Møller was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Düddingen's goalkeeper Istvan Møller, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Melusinental were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marko Gunawan to strike the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Melusinental's goal looked a bit too open when Marko Gunawan came free, but Henning Meyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Frederik Minge was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melusinental's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Düddingen the free kick. In the 59th match minute, Melusinental was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederik Minge to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Fidel Berner kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Istvan Møller. That made the score 1-4 in the 63 minute of play. Istvan Møller made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fidel Berner in the 68th minute. Richard Hoff scored 1-5 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Istvan Møller, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 73 minutes into the match, Düddingen's goalkeeper Istvan Møller had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fidel Berner. After some careless play in the Düddingen defense, Fidel Berner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Istvan Møller. The Düddingen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Istvan Møller should have stopped the shot. 78 minutes in the game Axel Stollenwerk did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jörg Illing. After having played for 79 minutes, Jörg Illing managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Düddingen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jörg Illing was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Melusinental's Henning Meyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kirsten Gerlinger in the 82nd minute of play. Henning Meyer came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Düddingen's Jörg Illing. But to his dismay, Jörg Illing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fidel Berner got free with Istvan Møller in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Axel Stollenwerk made in the 90th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Marcel Edinger however managed to control. After 90 played minutes Melusinental got a freekick which was hit by Tino Heusmann. In the 91st minute Kirsten Gerlinger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heinz-Gerd Kassube lost his temper 94 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Melusinental eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
