The SV Stuttgarter Kickers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SG Torpedo Dresden were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Markus Edewecht was the one to do the kick off. When Mathieu Pyka fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SG Torpedo Dresden's protests and gave Mathieu Pyka a yellow card for diving instead. Perry Kamme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Renatus Ewen having to make a save. Lawrence Bräker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Renatus Ewen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75thth minute of the game Markus Edewecht who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SG Torpedo Dresden's Reinald Klingler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Markus Edewecht's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reinald Klingler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Markus Edewecht took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reinald Klingler. Reinald Klingler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. There was no doubt that SV Stuttgarter Kickers were the better team. SV Stuttgarter Kickers's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
