Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Endersbacher FC's zone, Wilfried Ewald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jochen Faigle came out of the goal and Wilfried Ewald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jochen Feckter in the 8th minute of play forced Endersbacher FC's goalkeeper Jochen Faigle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Endersbacher FC's zone, Abbe Huber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jochen Faigle came out of the goal and Abbe Huber tried to chip the ball over his head. Dietmar Kornath made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sönke Brandl in the 17th minute of play. If Wilfried Ewald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jochen Feckter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jochen Faigle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Endersbacher FC's Jochen Faigle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abbe Huber in the 24th minute of play. Jochen Feckter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jochen Faigle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Abbe Huber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jochen Faigle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abbe Huber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jochen Faigle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilfried Ewald went, in the 50th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The Endersbacher FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Storchenhof were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilfried Ewald was the one to do the kick off. Wilfried Ewald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Koester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Dietmar Kornath tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 minutes, Abbe Huber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Storchenhof and the Endersbacher FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Endersbacher FC booed when Storchenhof was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hubertus Wittenbeck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alain Urbach struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Dietmar Kornath didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Endersbacher FC. Jochen Faigle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abbe Huber in the 76th minute. Wilfried Ewald might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jochen Faigle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilfried Ewald ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd minute, Alain Urbach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Storchenhof played a much better game than Endersbacher FC and deserved their victory. The Endersbacher FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
