Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bastiaan Keßler took the kick off in the first half of the match. Conrad Skrentny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claus Renger in the 4th minute of the match. Eric Fritzen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute, Eric Fritzen made a precise shot to the right of Conrad Skrentny. Gemünden FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 14th match minute, Merten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claus Renger to maneuver through the defense. After 15 played minutes, Gemünden FC's Ersan Scheppach shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Johann Dilling came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gemünden FC reached it. Armin Reh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 played minutes Gemünden FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulrik Demele. After a defensive mix-up in Gemünden FC's zone, Armin Reh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrad Skrentny came out of the goal and Armin Reh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eric Fritzen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johann Dilling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gregor Stoffmehl in the 29th minute. In the 30th match minute, Merten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claus Renger to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Oskar Eschenbach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Conrad Skrentny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armin Reh, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 37th match minute, Gemünden FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Staratschek to maneuver through the defense. Claus Renger kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Bastiaan Keßler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eric Fritzen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conrad Skrentny read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. With his leg Johann Dilling managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Gemünden FC's Gregor Stoffmehl fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 47 played minutes Merten got a freekick which was hit by Claus Renger. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eric Fritzen was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Adnan Beckstedde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merten and the Gemünden FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adnan Beckstedde kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Merten's Johann Dilling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulrik Demele in the 56th minute of play. Johann Dilling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bastiaan Keßler in the 59th minute of the match. Bastiaan Keßler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th match minute, Merten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adnan Beckstedde to maneuver through the defense. Bastiaan Keßler struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Johann Dilling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gemünden FC. Merten's Johann Dilling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregor Stoffmehl in the 68th minute of play. Johann Dilling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bastiaan Keßler's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Johann Dilling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulrik Demele in the 76th minute of the match. Ulrik Demele took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johann Dilling. Johann Dilling dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Billy Staratschek kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Ersan Scheppach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armin Reh got free with Conrad Skrentny in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gemünden FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
