Jens Hermes kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vahid Stickel in the 13th minute of play forced Lehenwies's goalkeeper Delfim de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delfim de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timo Cürten, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vahid Stickel in the 26th minute of play forced Lehenwies's goalkeeper Delfim de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lehenwies's Delfim de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timo Cürten in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Raimund Lamp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donald Kasten. TSV 1893 Leipzig-Wahren's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raimund Lamp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Donald Kasten was a little too slow when Raimund Lamp got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 39th minute, Emanuel Sobieray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, TSV 1893 Leipzig-Wahren's goalkeeper Donald Kasten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimund Lamp. If Emanuel Sobieray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Sobieray was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Emanuel Sobieray managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lehenwies's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Sobieray was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donald Kasten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Immo Schmidt hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Sevim Scheelen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Delfim de Sousa skillfully saved the ball. In the 73rd match minute, TSV 1893 Leipzig-Wahren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sevim Scheelen to maneuver through the defense. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timo Cürten couldn't finish the play. Delfim de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timo Cürten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Lehenwies players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
