After 20 played minutes Borbeck FSV got a freekick which was hit by Nepomuk Stauff. Witold Stockbauer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dietz Schaumer having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Borbeck FSV's Jonas Bostock ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dietz Schaumer. After 41 played minutes, Borbeck FSV's Jan Adlersfeld shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dietz Schaumer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Borbeck FSV reached it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas Bostock to strike the kick off in the second half. Habib Holzer made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 60thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Dimitar Reininger would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. When Witold Stockbauer came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Borbeck FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Witold Stockbauer couldn't finish the play. Dietz Schaumer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Bostock in the 65th minute of the match. Borbeck FSV's Ansgar Klöser got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Ansgar Klöser off the ground. In the 97th minute, Witold Stockbauer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Borbeck FSV's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
