Heinrich Brähmig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Fritzen, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, Haslach South Side FC.'s Horst Peth got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 35th minute, Armin Reh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armin Reh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norman Baecker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johann Dilling having to interfere. If Eric Fritzen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Torsten Drostel to strike the kick off in the second half. Norman Baecker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Johann Dilling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Heinrich Brähmig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armin Reh's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Johann Dilling made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Norman Baecker sent off a good shot on target. When Matthias Damerau fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merten's protests and gave Matthias Damerau a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Haslach South Side FC. booed when Merten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Damerau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haslach South Side FC.'s Dylan Bergmeister shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 89th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Johann Dilling but with some difficulty. Merten's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
