Bertram Heike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Josef Brill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bertram Heike had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tsuneo Hummel struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Josef Brill didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1. FC Bayern-Kronach. 16 minutes into the match, 1. FC Bayern-Kronach's Tsuneo Hummel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josef Brill narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leopold Schubert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ephraim Rheinberger having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Thomas Holler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Bayern-Kronach booed when FC Maras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Heribert Biermann's late challenge caught a FC Maras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Heribert Biermann helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th minute, one of 1. FC Bayern-Kronach:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for 1. FC Bayern-Kronach. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for FC Maras. Sven Brömme stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ephraim Rheinberger. 2-2. If Leopold Schubert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute.
