Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Flemming Fochler kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, Hüttenheim FSV's goal looked a bit too open when August Ballas came free, but Kersten Piter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kersten Piter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from August Ballas in the 32nd minute of play. Arnold Häberle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 minutes of play, Hüttenheim FSV's Flemming Fochler made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolf Potulski was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes into the match, Hüttenheim FSV's goal looked a bit too open when August Ballas came free, but Kersten Piter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

After 55 played minutes Hüttenheim FSV got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Weixler. After 56 played minutes, Wohlerst FC's Jörgen Höhle shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kersten Piter came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Wohlerst FC reached it. Flemming Fochler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Potulski having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Wohlerst FC's goalkeeper Rolf Potulski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kim Bugera. In the 69th minute of the match Mark Schwienheer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kersten Piter skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Flemming Fochler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolf Potulski was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Kim Bugera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Potulski having to interfere. After 78 played minutes Hüttenheim FSV got a freekick which was hit by Joakim Ohme. When August Ballas came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Wohlerst FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that August Ballas couldn't finish the play. August Ballas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kersten Piter having to make a save. Wohlerst FC's Rolf Potulski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Wohlerst FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Wohlerst FC's zone, Flemming Fochler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolf Potulski came out of the goal and Flemming Fochler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hüttenheim FSV's Flemming Fochler was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 93rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hüttenheim FSV walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
