FC Eisern 66's Robert Rückert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save FC Eisern 66 from getting a goal against them. Erdal Köppen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sören Stöckel, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Norbert Kühlem hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Gabriel Denniger from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Robert Rückert's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 22nd minute Ferenc Schinner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Rückert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dörenthe's Menno Tannenberg got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 28 minutes of play, FC Eisern 66's Sören Stöckel made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erdal Köppen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Dörenthe booed when FC Eisern 66 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ullrich Kühlert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sören Stöckel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erdal Köppen having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Ferenc Schinner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robert Rückert was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Robert Rückert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaus Hochbaum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Reinhold Droste's late challenge caught a Dörenthe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reinhold Droste helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC Eisern 66 getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Reinhold Droste hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferenc Schinner in the 56th minute of play forced FC Eisern 66's goalkeeper Robert Rückert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Eisern 66's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sören Hauser was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1.
