Felix Rossel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Dimitrios Dirkes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dimitrios Dirkes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Heinz in the 11th minute of play. If Piotr Rehmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Andreas Heinz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dimitrios Dirkes was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Heimko Debus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Oliver Josef Kummer made a huge save. A collision led to Sulzbach getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Corvinus Merten hit a great ball. Niclas Ulrich hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Piotr Rehmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sulzbach's supporters rose to their feet, but Piotr Rehmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dimitrios Dirkes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 27 minutes into the match, Corinthians São Paulo's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Rossel came free, but Dimitrios Dirkes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Corinthians São Paulo's zone, Felix Rossel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimitrios Dirkes came out of the goal and Felix Rossel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
