Spectators: 7386 (Terracing: 5622, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 40) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Roman Babel took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience was convinced that Roman Babel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Lotter was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. When Roman Babel came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the TuS Schönenberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roman Babel couldn't finish the play. Paulo Lotter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roman Babel's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Roman Babel struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Paulo Lotter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TuS Schönenberg. Uwe Thömmes made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Lucien Wächter sent off a good shot on target. Roman Babel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Hernan Della reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Uwe Thömmes. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Voß in the 35th minute of play forced Werdohl's goalkeeper Paulo Lotter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th match minute, Werdohl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barry Bartels to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roman Babel in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Lotter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Lucien Wächter hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The excitement rose when Werdohl's Lucien Wächter after 58 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for TuS Schönenberg's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 2-0. In the 62nd minute Hernan Della shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Thömmes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to TuS Schönenberg getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Lauro Ahrendt hit a great ball. Uwe Thömmes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Bartels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, Lucien Wächter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Werdohl fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Roman Babel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Roman Babel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Paulo Lotter skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Roman Babel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo Lotter. That made the score 3-1 in the 73 minute of play. Roman Babel struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Paulo Lotter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TuS Schönenberg. Elmar Dominicus hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Uwe Thömmes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egon Gaffga in the 81st minute of play. After 82 played minutes TuS Schönenberg got a freekick which was hit by Joe Schenk. 83 minutes into the match, Werdohl's Egon Gaffga broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Werdohl's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
