FC Niceguys's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. TuS Schönenberg's Uwe Thömmes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Bellmann in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Michael Holst dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Uwe Thömmes, 1-1. 23 minutes into the match, TuS Schönenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Holst came free, but Uwe Thömmes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, TuS Schönenberg's Joe Schenk got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 28th minute, Michael Holst ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uwe Thömmes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. TuS Schönenberg's Uwe Thömmes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustel Sänger in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustel Sänger in the 36th minute of play forced TuS Schönenberg's goalkeeper Uwe Thömmes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. TuS Schönenberg's Uwe Thömmes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save TuS Schönenberg from getting a goal against them. Gabriel Meier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Babel in the 40th minute of play. Gabriel Meier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Babel in the 41st minute of the match. Michael Holst could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Uwe Thömmes made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roman Babel made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Gustel Sänger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Thömmes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandro Bellmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Uwe Thömmes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the TuS Schönenberg defense, Gustel Sänger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Uwe Thömmes. The TuS Schönenberg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Uwe Thömmes should have stopped the shot. Roman Babel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Meier having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, TuS Schönenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Holst came free, but Uwe Thömmes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roman Babel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Gabriel Meier skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 92 minutes into the game, Arthur Fleig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TuS Schönenberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Niceguys the free kick.
