TuS Schönenberg's Joe Schenk managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Haiko Britz in the 3 minute of the game. After 6 played minutes TuS Schönenberg got a freekick which was hit by Guido Hornsteiner. Uwe Thömmes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ansgar Thieringer in the 8th minute of the match. Benny Klöckner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Babel in the 13th minute of play. If Roman Babel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the game, Florian Staffelt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ramsen FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TuS Schönenberg the free kick. In the 20th match minute, TuS Schönenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elmar Dominicus to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Voß in the 28th minute of play forced Ramsen FSV's goalkeeper Benny Klöckner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Olaf Voß made a precise shot to the right of Benny Klöckner. Ramsen FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Florian Staffelt took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uwe Thömmes. Uwe Thömmes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Benny Klöckner came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by TuS Schönenberg's Roman Babel. But to his dismay, Roman Babel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Dustin Bopp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Thömmes having to interfere. The Ramsen FSV players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. TuS Schönenberg were winning 1-3.

55 minutes had been played when some careless play by TuS Schönenberg's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Maschotta was slow to take the kick. During this time Ramsen FSV's players had a chance to rest. In the 56th minute Adam Hunger suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 57 minutes, Joe Schenk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TuS Schönenberg and the Ramsen FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th minute, Ansgar Thieringer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ramsen FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. After 63 played minutes Ramsen FSV got a freekick which was hit by Haiko Britz. In the 66th minute Florian Staffelt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uwe Thömmes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in TuS Schönenberg's zone, Dustin Bopp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uwe Thömmes came out of the goal and Dustin Bopp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dustin Bopp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uwe Thömmes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florian Staffelt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roman Babel in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benny Klöckner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Florian Staffelt got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of TuS Schönenberg booed when Ramsen FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Staffelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to TuS Schönenberg getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Joe Schenk hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roman Babel got free with Benny Klöckner in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
