The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hernan Della to strike the kick off in the second half. Werdohl's Hernan Della got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucien Wächter's late challenge caught a VfL Klosterbauerschaft's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hernan Della received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Marko Mattern tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Lotter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roland Beinmagd's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. The Werdohl supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Werdohl would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
