Spectators: 6998 (Terracing: 5200, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 80) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lennart Möst started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Lennart Möst kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joris Bülow. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Joris Bülow made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roy Mende in the 14th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Dieter Kästner notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Profibolzer's Karsten Yilmaz. Karsten Yilmaz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Roy Mende could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Joris Bülow made a huge save. Joris Bülow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lennart Möst in the 22nd minute of play. Joris Bülow acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 31st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jakob Propst. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Dieter Kästner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sange's supporters rose to their feet, but Dieter Kästner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karsten Yilmaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dieter Kästner made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Roy Mende was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Profibolzer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sange the free kick. With his leg Karsten Yilmaz managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Sange's Dieter Kästner fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dirk Hauschild's late challenge caught a Sange's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dirk Hauschild helped the player get up and apologised. Karsten Yilmaz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dieter Kästner went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Lennart Möst managed to get in a good position for a shot. Profibolzer's supporters rose to their feet, but Lennart Möst was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joris Bülow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dieter Kästner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute Roy Mende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joris Bülow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Profibolzer's Samir Schott broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Joris Bülow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lennart Möst in the 72nd minute of play. Joris Bülow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Hauschild, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Samir Schott charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Samir Schott the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sange booed when Profibolzer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samir Schott didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dirk Hauschild kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Dieter Kästner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karsten Yilmaz having to interfere. If Hugo Frankenhauser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Dieter Kästner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute Roy Mende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joris Bülow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
