Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eike Kieper got the match started through his kick off. Dominik Bakker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Gerstenmaier having to interfere. Guntram Pfaffenberger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dominik Bakker came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Schönhof fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominik Bakker couldn't finish the play. If Dominik Bakker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Schierlage's goal looked a bit too open when Heiko Schommer came free, but Sven Gerstenmaier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven Gerstenmaier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heiko Schommer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heiko Schommer scored 1-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sven Gerstenmaier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dominik Bakker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guntram Pfaffenberger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ken Leitner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Schönhof's Heiko Schommer got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Heiko Schommer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sven Gerstenmaier came out and tried to block the shot, but Heiko Schommer slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 43rd minute. Sven Gerstenmaier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janek Winkelmann in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Heiko Schommer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Schönhof defense, Eike Kieper kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ken Leitner. The Schönhof fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ken Leitner should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute, Eike Kieper reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ken Leitner. The goal made the score 2-2. Schönhof's Heiko Schommer got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Schönhof's Peter Gerber got a free kick in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eike Kieper in the 65th minute of play forced Schönhof's goalkeeper Ken Leitner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eike Kieper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hanno Luthardt's late challenge caught a Schierlage's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hanno Luthardt helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Schönhof getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Hanno Luthardt hit a great ball. Guntram Pfaffenberger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Schierlage defense, Heiko Schommer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sven Gerstenmaier. The Schierlage fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sven Gerstenmaier should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Schönhof fans cheered their team off the field, for while Schierlage had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
