Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Altensiel's zone, Heiko Schommer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theo Reißig came out of the goal and Heiko Schommer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Schönhof's Dominik Bakker got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Dominik Bakker made a precise shot to the right of Theo Reißig. Altensiel's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Dominik Bakker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dominik Bakker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Theo Reißig having to make a save. Heiko Schommer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Theo Reißig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Ulf Rath made a precise shot to the right of Ken Leitner. Schönhof's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Dominik Bakker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47thth minute of the game Heiko Schommer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Altensiel's Theo Reißig was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thomas Hambückers to make the kick off. Altensiel's Theo Reißig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominik Bakker in the 51st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heiko Schommer in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theo Reißig saved Altensiel from getting behind. Theo Reißig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janek Winkelmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The supporters of Altensiel booed when Schönhof was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abbe Wegener didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ulf Rath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heiko Schommer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Reißig having to interfere. Theo Reißig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heiko Schommer in the 74th minute of play. Theo Reißig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Bakker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heiko Schommer in the 78th minute of play forced Altensiel's goalkeeper Theo Reißig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Schönhof's goalkeeper Ken Leitner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulf Rath.
