Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ty Burschick started the match with the kick off. Sportfreunde Laubendorf's attentive Paul Wachtmann managed to snatch the ball when Klaus Kreber made a throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robert Ohlicher in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erwin Hayer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute, Özcan Duttlinger made a precise shot to the right of Erko Kranz. Sportfreunde Laubendorf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Robert Ohlicher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ty Burschick in the 16th minute of play forced Sportfreunde Laubendorf's goalkeeper Erko Kranz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Niederehe FC's zone, Robert Ohlicher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erwin Hayer came out of the goal and Robert Ohlicher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Sportfreunde Laubendorf fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Sportfreunde Laubendorf's Robert Ohlicher looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 22nd minute, Robert Ohlicher made a precise shot to the right of Erwin Hayer. Niederehe FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Robert Ohlicher struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Erwin Hayer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sportfreunde Laubendorf. Sportfreunde Laubendorf's attentive Volker Jahn managed to snatch the ball when Conrad Themann made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. 28 minutes into the match, Robert Ohlicher had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erwin Hayer. Niederehe FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robert Ohlicher was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Robert Ohlicher put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Erwin Hayer. Robert Ohlicher blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erwin Hayer having to make a save. Joachim Abälard hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Erko Kranz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ty Burschick, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Erko Kranz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ty Burschick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dietbald Nissler succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-4 in the 44th playminute. 48 minutes into the game, Ty Burschick recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erko Kranz. Ty Burschick showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. After the first half Sportfreunde Laubendorf were leading 3-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robert Ohlicher to make the kick off. Ty Burschick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erko Kranz having to interfere. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 4-4 when Ty Burschick sped through Sportfreunde Laubendorf's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Erko Kranz. In the 59th minute Ty Burschick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erko Kranz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 61 minutes, Robert Ohlicher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportfreunde Laubendorf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Ohlicher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herbert Schmaltz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Erwin Hayer made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Niederehe FC's Özcan Duttlinger got a free kick in the 76th minute. Erko Kranz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dietbald Nissler in the 79th minute of play. Joachim Abälard took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erwin Hayer. Erwin Hayer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-6. In the 89th minute, Robert Ohlicher made a precise shot to the right of Erwin Hayer. Niederehe FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-7. Jakob Rösch's late challenge caught a Niederehe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jakob Rösch helped the player get up and apologised. Jakob Rösch hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute of the game Klaus Kreber made a throw-in which Özcan Duttlinger played forward. After 95 played minutes Niederehe FC got a freekick which was hit by Özcan Duttlinger. Robert Ohlicher who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Erwin Hayer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 98 played minutes Sportfreunde Laubendorf got a freekick which was hit by Joachim Abälard. Erko Kranz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ty Burschick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Niederehe FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sportfreunde Laubendorf's performance. The match ended with a win for Sportfreunde Laubendorf.
