Spectators: 6999 (Terracing: 5875, Seating: 1074, VIP seats: 50) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ashley Bäßler kicked off to start the match. The Hansa Rostock fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Hansa Rostock's Dan Haug managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Klaus Brenner in the 14 minute of the game. After 15 minutes of play, Hansa Rostock's Ashley Bäßler made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ede Süßmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thilo Bopp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Davor Saller having to make a save. In the 20th minute, Westerland FC's Akim Pflüger ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Davor Saller. Davor Saller yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Tobias Holstein kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Akim Pflüger made a precise shot to the right of Davor Saller. Hansa Rostock's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Ashley Bäßler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ede Süßmann having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Ashley Bäßler notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Westerland FC's Ede Süßmann. Ede Süßmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thilo Bopp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Davor Saller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ashley Bäßler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hansa Rostock's Ilja Wöllner got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Akim Pflüger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davor Saller having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raphael Hoersch to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Westerland FC's zone, Ilja Wöllner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ede Süßmann came out of the goal and Ilja Wöllner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ede Süßmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ashley Bäßler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Balthasar Hinkler fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Westerland FC's protests and gave Balthasar Hinkler a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Westerland FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hansa Rostock:s goal. Ede Süßmann went to the wrong direction when Siegfried Gabler was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. When Hansa Rostock's Ashley Bäßler in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Westerland FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 61 played minutes Westerland FC got a freekick which was hit by Ted Darmstadt. With an all-out effort, Hansa Rostock's Ede Süßmann threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ashley Bäßler, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 65 minutes into the game, Klaus Brenner threw the ball into play from the sideline. Hansa Rostock's Dan Haug quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ashley Bäßler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Siegfried Gabler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the last second Ede Süßmann throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ashley Bäßler in the 80thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 80th match minute, Westerland FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ted Darmstadt to maneuver through the defense. Ashley Bäßler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ede Süßmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hansa Rostock's Timur Pilz quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Balthasar Hinkler, made in the 88th minute of the game. 89 minutes into the game, Hansa Rostock's Ashley Bäßler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ede Süßmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Akim Pflüger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davor Saller having to interfere. Hansa Rostock's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
