Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ty Burschick kicked off to start the match. When Klaus Kreber fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Niederehe FC's protests and gave Klaus Kreber a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hansa Rostock booed when Niederehe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaus Kreber didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ashley Bäßler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erwin Hayer was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Dan Haug struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Erwin Hayer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hansa Rostock. Davor Saller made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Dietbald Nissler sent off a good shot on target. Hansa Rostock's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Ty Burschick scored to the left of an out of position Davor Saller, making the score, 1-0. In the 13th minute, Jörg Bohnsack hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ty Burschick struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Davor Saller didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niederehe FC. Ashley Bäßler took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erwin Hayer. Erwin Hayer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ashley Bäßler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Hayer having to interfere. Timur Pilz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilja Wöllner kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Klaus Kreber made in the 28th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Özcan Duttlinger. After 29 played minutes Niederehe FC got a freekick which was hit by Klaus Kreber. Ashley Bäßler might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erwin Hayer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ashley Bäßler ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 32nd minute, Ashley Bäßler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hansa Rostock fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 39 played minutes Niederehe FC got a freekick which was hit by Özcan Duttlinger. Fynn Eschlimann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Davor Saller made a huge save. Uwe Pohl charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Uwe Pohl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Niederehe FC's Uwe Pohl got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half Hansa Rostock were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Ashley Bäßler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ashley Bäßler in the 58th minute of play forced Niederehe FC's goalkeeper Erwin Hayer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ashley Bäßler in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erwin Hayer saved Niederehe FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Ilja Wöllner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hansa Rostock's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilja Wöllner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erwin Hayer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ty Burschick came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Niederehe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ty Burschick couldn't finish the play. Davor Saller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dietbald Nissler in the 77th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ilja Ehrenberg during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Niederehe FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! The crowd rose to their feet as Hansa Rostock's Ashley Bäßler slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erwin Hayer. That made the score 2-5 after 86 minutes of play. Ashley Bäßler had several of the Niederehe FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 90 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-6 score and a disappointed Erwin Hayer as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Tobias Holstein fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hansa Rostock's protests and gave Tobias Holstein a yellow card for diving instead. Tobias Holstein kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After 94 minutes of play, Niederehe FC's Ty Burschick made it 3-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Davor Saller was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Hansa Rostock left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Niederehe FC.
