After 14 played minutes VfL Blau Weiß got a freekick which was hit by Welf Surkemper. Jorg Gerhold stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerome Förster's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After 18 played minutes VfL Blau Weiß got a freekick which was hit by Simon Schulzki. Jorg Gerhold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Bouffier, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Simon Schulzki got his second yellow card in the match during the 30th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 31st match minute, VfL Blau Weiß was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Schulzki to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to VfL Blau Weiß getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Welf Surkemper hit a great ball. After 33 minutes, Romeo Zimmermann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Kartoffeln auf die 1 and the VfL Blau Weiß players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, FC Kartoffeln auf die 1 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Zimmermann to maneuver through the defense. When Ben Bouffier came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the FC Kartoffeln auf die 1 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ben Bouffier couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sören Gewalt was the one to do the kick off. Hippolyt Straub showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudius Thumser in the 52nd minute of the match. With a little luck, VfL Blau Weiß's Jorg Gerhold got control of the ball when Ben Bouffier tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, VfL Blau Weiß's Welf Surkemper got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 65th minute, Ben Bouffier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 67 in the game by Ben Bouffier from a close distance when the talented Jorg Gerhold managed to make a qualified save. VfL Blau Weiß's players were relieved. A collision led to VfL Blau Weiß getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Moritz Diers hit a great ball. VfL Blau Weiß's Jorg Gerhold proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save VfL Blau Weiß from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute, Jerome Förster got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jerome Förster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Jorg Gerhold successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ben Bouffier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Jorg Gerhold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Hagen Klein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VfL Blau Weiß succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though FC Kartoffeln auf die 1 had controlled the match.
