Spectators: 7484 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 149) Overdrive's Felix Ernst started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jorg Gerhold was a little too slow when Ted von Rumohr got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. Peter Wald kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Felix Ernst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorg Gerhold having to interfere. Christoph Neumann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Welf Surkemper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Theo Altmann's late challenge caught a VfL Blau Weiß's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Theo Altmann helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Overdrive got a freekick which was hit by Theo Altmann. Christoph Neumann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sören Gewalt, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When Theo Altmann was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 32 minutes had been played. Theo Altmann kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After 34 minutes of play, VfL Blau Weiß's Sören Gewalt made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christoph Neumann was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felix Ernst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorg Gerhold having to interfere. Felix Ernst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Welf Surkemper to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Welf Surkemper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raik Kunze during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raik Kunze kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Sören Gewalt notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Overdrive's Christoph Neumann. Christoph Neumann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Overdrive booed when VfL Blau Weiß was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hagen Klein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sören Gewalt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Christoph Neumann when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 68 minutes into the match, Overdrive's goalkeeper Christoph Neumann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sören Gewalt. Sören Gewalt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Christoph Neumann made a huge save. Christoph Neumann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Welf Surkemper in the 86th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Ernst in the 87th minute of play forced VfL Blau Weiß's goalkeeper Jorg Gerhold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 played minutes VfL Blau Weiß got a freekick which was hit by Hagen Klein. The VfL Blau Weiß players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
