Overdrive's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ullrich Reinke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 17 minutes into the game, Sjard Hillenbrand was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borussia Nord-Ostsee's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Overdrive the free kick. A collision led to Borussia Nord-Ostsee getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Sjard Hillenbrand hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Overdrive's Raik Kunze broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Christoph Neumann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonas Birnstiel went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute, Jonas Birnstiel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ullrich Reinke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felix Ernst to strike the kick off in the second half. Theo Altmann hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Paul Rösel hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 60th match minute, Overdrive was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Leibold to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Borussia Nord-Ostsee booed when Overdrive was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ted von Rumohr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonas Birnstiel struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Christoph Neumann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borussia Nord-Ostsee. Borussia Nord-Ostsee's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paul Rösel in the 68th minute. The corner ended in Paul Rösel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Overdrive's Christoph Neumann did a great save. 71 minutes into the game, Ted von Rumohr was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Overdrive's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borussia Nord-Ostsee the free kick. Borussia Nord-Ostsee made a substitution. Philipp Brohm replaced Sjard Hillenbrand. Ted von Rumohr hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Felix Ernst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laslo Wiehn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Birnstiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Overdrive's goalkeeper Christoph Neumann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ralph Kalvelage charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ralph Kalvelage the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ralph Kalvelage hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute Felix Ernst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laslo Wiehn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Birnstiel in the 96th minute of play forced Overdrive's goalkeeper Christoph Neumann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Overdrive fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Borussia Nord-Ostsee were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
