The Kupferberg FC fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Kupferberg FC's Heiner Viertel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Kupferberg FC booed when Küstorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johann Kaas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eckard Steeger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Mustafa Spindler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Heiner Viertel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Tristan Elgert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Heiner Viertel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mustafa Spindler was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Kupferberg FC's attentive Markus Kuhlins managed to snatch the ball when Simon Rohleder made a throw-in in the 35th minute of the game. Mustafa Spindler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heiner Viertel, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robert Schowanek was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Heiner Viertel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kupferberg FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heiner Viertel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Küstorf's Tristan Elgert got a free kick in the 53rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heiner Viertel in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mustafa Spindler saved Küstorf from getting behind. In the 56th minute of the match Kupferberg FC got a corner. Küstorf's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kaspar Pilz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Kupferberg FC's Kaspar Pilz to fire away a dangerous shot which Mustafa Spindler despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heiner Viertel in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mustafa Spindler saved Küstorf from getting behind. In the 61stth minute of the game Heiner Viertel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Küstorf's Mustafa Spindler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Küstorf's Mustafa Spindler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heiner Viertel in the 64th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Kupferberg FC's Heiner Viertel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mustafa Spindler. That made the score 1-4 after 66 minutes of play. 72 minutes into the match, Heiner Viertel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mustafa Spindler, 1-5. Johann Kaas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Küstorf booed when Kupferberg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wigalf Bork didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mustafa Spindler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heiner Viertel in the 89th minute of the match. If Heiner Viertel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With splendid footwork Heiner Viertel arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-6 by the left pole in the game's 95th minute. Kupferberg FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
