Overdrive's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Heiner Viertel scored to the left of an out of position Christoph Neumann, making the score, 1-0. Christoph Neumann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaspar Pilz in the 23rd minute of the match. Kupferberg FC's Detlef Carl quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gabriel Leibold, made in the 24th minute of the game. In the 25th minute Heiner Viertel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoph Neumann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Overdrive's zone, Heiner Viertel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christoph Neumann came out of the goal and Heiner Viertel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Heiner Viertel was extremely unlucky when he, in the 31st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Christoph Neumann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heiner Viertel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heiner Viertel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heiner Viertel in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christoph Neumann saved Overdrive from getting behind. Kaspar Pilz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christoph Neumann having to interfere. Heiner Viertel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Heiner Viertel made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Overdrive's goal looked a bit too open when Heiner Viertel came free, but Christoph Neumann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christoph Neumann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heiner Viertel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christoph Neumann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heiner Viertel, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Kupferberg FC's goalkeeper Wojtek Moll had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucio Wessel. Heiner Viertel might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christoph Neumann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Heiner Viertel ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Overdrive's Alois Sänger got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 72ndth minute of the game Heiner Viertel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Overdrive's Christoph Neumann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
