To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Oldenbüttel booed when Burgstaaken FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Baader didn't get a good kick on the ball. Heiko Sudhoff came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Oldenbüttel's Levan Schub. But to his dismay, Levan Schub quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Burgstaaken FC's goalkeeper Heiko Sudhoff, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 23 minutes, Gunter Fochler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oldenbüttel and the Burgstaaken FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Burgstaaken FC booed when Oldenbüttel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunter Fochler didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Detlef Schapiro in the 27th minute of play forced Burgstaaken FC's goalkeeper Heiko Sudhoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Burgstaaken FC's Kamil Wohl got a free kick in the 28th minute. Joseph Schätzle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 37 minutes of play, Burgstaaken FC's Egil Dürr made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Heiko Sudhoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Levan Schub in the 45th minute of the match. In the 47thth minute of the game Detlef Schapiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Burgstaaken FC's Heiko Sudhoff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Heiko Sudhoff made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Levan Schub sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the match, Oldenbüttel's Julius Seligmann broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. In the 92nd minute Joseph Schätzle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bert Becker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
