Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Eduard Kretz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Bottenberg's zone, Primus Brochtrop stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frans Thomaschewski came out of the goal and Primus Brochtrop tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wigalf Lilleike sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Wigalf Lilleike put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Frans Thomaschewski. A collision led to JfbV.24 Würzburg getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Karsten Nuth hit a great ball. Mathis Nolting acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 15th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tyler Kolpers. In the 17th match minute, Bottenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregor Stoffmehl to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Andreas Bannenberg notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Bottenberg's Frans Thomaschewski. Frans Thomaschewski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th minute, Patrick Balken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 28th play minutes Wigalf Lilleike shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Frans Thomaschewski and just under the crossbar into goal. Mathis Nolting made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Balken in the 32nd minute. Patrick Balken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Mathis Nolting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 played minutes JfbV.24 Würzburg got a freekick which was hit by Karsten Nuth. In the 46th minute, Bottenberg's Eduard Kretz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mathis Nolting. Mathis Nolting yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A hard shot by Obbo Dubrau from long distance, 52 minutes into the match, got Frans Thomaschewski's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. JfbV.24 Würzburg's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wigalf Lilleike in the 57th minute. The corner ended in Wigalf Lilleike almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bottenberg's Frans Thomaschewski did a great save. When Kostja Wollbrinck fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bottenberg's protests and gave Kostja Wollbrinck a yellow card for diving instead. Kostja Wollbrinck hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Sigmar Backeshoff came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the JfbV.24 Würzburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sigmar Backeshoff couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wigalf Lilleike in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frans Thomaschewski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wigalf Lilleike's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Frans Thomaschewski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Wigalf Lilleike who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Frans Thomaschewski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 71 minutes into the match, JfbV.24 Würzburg's goal looked a bit too open when Jari Adams came free, but Mathis Nolting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Bottenberg's goalkeeper Frans Thomaschewski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sigmar Backeshoff. Mathis Nolting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduard Kretz in the 75th minute of the match. Wigalf Lilleike had several of the Bottenberg's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 77 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-4 score and a disappointed Frans Thomaschewski as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 81st minute, Andreas Bannenberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Frans Thomaschewski. The goal made the score 2-5. Frans Thomaschewski stood somewhat misplaced when Wigalf Lilleike came free in front of goal and shot 2-6 to the left of him in the 85 minute. 88 minutes into the game, JfbV.24 Würzburg's Sigmar Backeshoff nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frans Thomaschewski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-7. JfbV.24 Würzburg's Andreas Bannenberg was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 91st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 96 played minutes, JfbV.24 Würzburg's Hardi Winternagel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frans Thomaschewski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in JfbV.24 Würzburg reached it. JfbV.24 Würzburg's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
