FSV Straubing's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kevin Fekecs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustin Tschorn having to interfere. Uwe Balkov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nils Mukengechay in the 19th minute. Mel Brozulat kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Augustin Tschorn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casimir Mutke in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th match minute, FSV Straubing was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Höfer to maneuver through the defense. Erasmus Mikulasch charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erasmus Mikulasch the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Uwe Balkov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bill Frick, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The supporters of FSV Straubing booed when Knallhütte Brauerei FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmus Mikulasch didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Nils Mukengechay managed to get in a good position for a shot. FSV Straubing's supporters rose to their feet, but Nils Mukengechay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uwe Balkov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kevin Fekecs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nils Mukengechay struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Uwe Balkov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FSV Straubing. A collision led to Knallhütte Brauerei FSV getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Mel Brozulat hit a great ball. Bill Frick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Uwe Balkov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Casimir Mutke was the one to do the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uwe Balkov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Casimir Mutke blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Augustin Tschorn having to make a save. If Kevin Fekecs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casimir Mutke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Augustin Tschorn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erwin Brameshuber hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Augustin Tschorn made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Kevin Fekecs sent off a good shot on target. After 93 played minutes FSV Straubing got a freekick which was hit by Ludwig Drechsler. Nils Mukengechay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uwe Balkov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
