To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Björn Thees got free with Fynn Nork in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michael Jung in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ödön Dieler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fynn Nork was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Konstantin Cronen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. In the 20th minute Konstantin Cronen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fynn Nork saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mödrath getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Björn Thees hit a great ball. Ödön Dieler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Jung in the 28th minute of the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michael Jung was the one to do the kick off. Ödön Dieler came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Polonia Marlow's Michael Jung. But to his dismay, Michael Jung quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Michael Jung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 minutes of play, Mödrath's Vico Beul made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fynn Nork was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fynn Nork took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Thees, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th match minute, Polonia Marlow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvain Hoefer to maneuver through the defense. After 83 minutes, Chris Gutrath mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mödrath and the Polonia Marlow players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 83 played minutes Mödrath got a freekick which was hit by Chris Gutrath. Fynn Nork showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Thees, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Fynn Nork didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mödrath.
